The Television War During the Vietnam War, Americans finally had access to news through something other than a newspaper or magazine. *The availability of video, along with some very popular journalists, meant that the Vietnam War was covered like no other war before it. The U.S. government and military even tried to limit media access to Vietnam because it made them look bad. *US govt limited media access to Vietnam

What Set Vietnam Apart Vietnam was already a little different from previous wars for a few different reasons. America had declared victory in pretty much every war to this point. *It was (and still is) considered unpatriotic to not support a war America is involved in.
