2 Figure 1 Cumulative incidence of grade II, III, or IV acute GVHD. The probability of grade II, III, or IV acute GVHD is shown for patients with a specific minor histocompatibility mismatch (solid line) or without this mismatch (dashed line). (A) Cumulative incidence of acute GVHD grades II, III, or IV associated with the presence of the HA-1 mismatch when transplanted from a donor with CTLA-4 rs AA genotype. (B) Effect of the same mismatch when the donor presented the CTLA-4 rs AG or GG genotype. The same comparison is performed analyzing the impact of the H-Y mismatch on grade II, III, or IV acute GVHD associated with the presence of the H-Y mismatch when the donor has the CTLA-4 rs AA genotype (C) versus the CTLA-4 rs AG or GG genotype (D). Both mismatches were associated with a higher incidence of grade II, III, or IV acute GVHD only when the donor had the CTLA-4 rs AA genotype. P values were estimated from multivariable regression models adjusted for source of stem cells, diagnosis, and GVHD prophylaxis. 3 Figure 2 Cumulative incidence of grade III or IV acute GVHD. The probability of grade III or IV acute GVHD is shown for patients with a specific minor histocompatibility mismatch (solid line) or without this mismatch (dashed line). (A) Cumulative incidence of acute GVHD grades III or IV associated with the presence of the HA-8 mismatch when transplanted from a donor with CTLA-4 rs AA genotype. (B) Effect of the same mismatch when the donor presented the CTLA-4 rs AG or GG genotype. The same comparison is performed analyzing the impact of the H-Y mismatch on grade III or IV acute GVHD associated with the presence of the H-Y mismatch when donor has the CTLA-4 rs AA genotype (C) versus the CTLA-4 rs AG or GG genotype (D).
