When you first get to class, you will then open up my classroom blog and review what we will be doing in class.

21. If you are absent…
Frequent absences will affects a student’s academic progress
You are responsible for making up your work and checking online to see what you missed.
You should also contact your class buddy incase you need help understanding what is expected of you.
Also, if you are out for more than three days, you are expected to schedule a meeting time with me to review all work and to receive a new deadline.

You have two weeks to make up any quizzes or tests. Failure to do so will automatically result in a ZERO.
All make-up quizzes and tests will only be taken before or after school hours.
For an absence that extends for more than three days,
a date for all make-up work will be set and followed.

are responsible for showing it to me.

Remember that you are not just absent in my class, you are absent in all other classes too…it is very important to not fall behind so you must come back to school with the notion of catching up as soon as possible!

27. Classroom Rules
You must be on time to class. If you come to class after the bell without a pass, you will receive a detention.
No food or drink in the lab.
Wear your uniform properly.
First offense you are issued a warning.
On the second offense, you will receive a detention.

4. No cell phones visible at anytime and electronic devices.
According to the Student Handbook/Code of Conduct, all cell phones must be turned off during school hours. (7:40/bell-2:36/bell)
A cell phone is considered in use if the student has the phone in their hand and will be confiscated on the spot.
First offense, warning; student may retrieve the cell phone at the end of the day from the Dean of Students.
Second offense, Parents must come to school for a conference with the Dean of Students before the cell phone is returned.
Third offense, Cell phone is confiscated and returned to the parent at the end of the school year

Follow the correct fire drill procedure.

31. Classroom Rules Fire Drill during class:
If by chance we have a fire drill while a class is in session, it is imperative that everyone remains silent. We will line up, single file and walk to our destination. Fire drills should not be taken lightly or looked to as a social event. If a fire occurred, we need to be prepared to listen for instructions. If everyone is speaking, we are risking the safety of the students and the faculty.

For those students that fail to adhere to any of these rules, a detention will be given. Detention served one day AFTER it is given. If you receive a detention, you are responsible for remembering.

33. Technology code of Conduct
“Any misuse of technology will result in a loss of computer privileges for a minimum of one marking period. Based on the nature and severity of the violation, appropriate disciplinary action will follow that may include Administrative Detentions, In-School Suspension, or Out –of- School Suspension and possible loss of technology school use for the entire school year.” If information is delete accidentally, you must report is as soon as possible because we might possibly be able to recover it given the right amount of window time.”
