The resources that we post have been carefully reviewed and selected from authoritative sources. Content on PHPartners.org is selected from: Partner member organizations Other organizations that provide access to credible public health information: Government agencies Professional and research organizations Libraries and educational institutions 2. Appropriate – resources must have a public health focus. 3. The websites need to be well-organized, reliable, and with up-to-date content. 4. We make sure that resources posted provide unbiased information. We carefully look at the purpose of the website and who is funding it any why. Many websites provide health information, but their main purpose could be to sell a product or service. This type of website does not meet the selection criteria. 5. Websites must clearly state aims and source of financial support. 6. No advertising is accepted.

Find classes on a wide range of public health topics including disease outbreaks, health communication, and chronic disease prevention. You can register for free to find courses offered in your geographical area, track CE credits, and set up announcements on new courses on topics of interest. The adoption of social media and mobile health technologies for emergency preparedness by local health departments: a joint perspective from NACCHO and the UPMC center for health security. J Public Health Manag Pract Mar-Apr;20(2):259-63 Data from a 2013 survey from the National Association of County and Health Officials (NACCHO) (a Partner member) of local health departments found that 91% of health departments use smartphones; 48% reported using tablets. Use of mobile devices was higher for larger health departments serving larger populations than for smaller health departments.
