Personal Goal for 2014 Personal Goal: To pass my Learners permit test.
Study online (RAA test). Learn road rules. twice a week. Get at least only one question wrong. Reason: Be able to drive as soon as possible. Possible Issues: Government law changes. Achievement looks like: Having my L’s within two days of becoming 16

Learning Goal for 2014 Learning Goal:
To get at least one A on either of my report cards for term three and four of 2014 Do as much work in class as possible Do any assigned homework Study for tests Best effort Ask questions in class Reason: To feel proud of myself and to feel like I have achieved Possible Issues: Shouldn’t be any if I put my mind to it Achievement looks like: An A on my report card and feeling successful

Future Career Goals To plan a pathway in school that will allow me to have a range of different career choices Pick subjects I enjoy (English, History) Pick subjects I am good at (English) Idea of what career path Still deciding leaving options open Progress: I have completed picking year 11 subjects Possible Issues: Changing my mind Wanting to work in science as I didn’t pick any science subjects Achievement looks like: successfully completed my subject selection and having a slight understanding of which career paths I could possibly follow with the subjects I have chosen eg. Journalist - English

Subject Selection English – Picked because I believe I have potential
Dance – Its fun and I enjoy it, a break from sitting at a desk Maths – A lot of career paths include maths therefore I have chosen this subject Visual arts design – I enjoy the subject Sose (history) – because I enjoy it and because I believe I have the potential to succeed Tourism – because an air hostess would be a possible career direction Alpine Tourism – because I believe going to the snow would be an amazing experience

Citizenship To me citizenship is helping out the community and others around you, citizenship is giving even when not receiving. Citizenship is about doing things for the community you live in, work in, or learn in. Simplest ways Eg. Not breaking the law Not littering/picking up litter Citizenship towards my career Citizenship will contribute to my career Eg. Not breaking the law (if you do) Simply being respectful

Work The capability of work is all about the progress and the steps you have taken to pursue the career path you would like to follow So far: Foodland – night-fill/checkout Subject selection Helpful towards my career: experience Knowledge Customers and people/colleagues Working with money and maths Responsibilities

Learning Learning is all about the path you take to a successful future. Learning is based around school and is very important for my future. As a school student I learn every day I learn things that will help me in my future Eg. - English and writing Maths Creating *Learning opens new doors * Helps you to achieve * Gives opportunities Learning will help me in my future and in my career. Eg. Maths will help me to problem solve in a career like architecture if I chose that as a career path English will help me to write with more meaning and will help me in a career like Journalism

Personal Development Personal development is about improving in work, improving in learning, improving yourself and improving your life. Personal development is crucial in high school and for the future challenging yourself Seeing results Achieving better Higher standards Personal delopment is extremely useful during high school and throughout your future and career. Eg. Getting better grades could increase chances of getting a particular job Improve you’re attitude by believing in yourself Improve In subjects Becoming a better person

Communication Communication is talking to people, messaging, ing, calling and texting people, communication is having the ability to talk to someone. Communication can be used as a way to learn Eg. Ask questions Discover answers ability to do oral presentations speak in front of crowds job interviews How will communication help me in my possible career path? Eg. Journalism: collecting sources for news being able to discuss and talk about articles having the ability to write about other peoples lives being able to talk to people about personal things
