2 What is it? Flat feet are when the soles of your feet touch the ground when you stand up, unlike regular soles that have an arch when you stand on the ground. (Foot Clinic CDP, n.d.) Cavus foot is when feet have higher arches than normal. (American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, n.d.).

3 Signs/Symptoms - Flat feet Fallen Arches Painful or archy feet
Inside of feet gets swollen (Foot Smart, n.d.).

4 Population Flat foot is the most common deformity known to adults
25% of the U.S population have flat feet Flat feet occurs due to increased activity of proteolytic enzymes that breakdowns the tendons of the foot causing them to lose their arch Approximately 20% of the population has high arches Cavus foot is often caused by neurological disorder Limit sports/activities for people with Cavus foot and flat feet (Omics International,n.d).

5 Treatment/Prevention
Orthotics or shoe inserts helps you supports your arch, stabilize your heel and ease stress. Wear comfortable and supportive shoes. Wear night splints, use cold therapy (Foot Smart, n.d.)

6 Other important information
Flat feet is the most common arch problem. This affects 25% of the U.S. population. (OMICs International, n.d.) Treatment for flat feet or high arches are only for people who have pain because of the issue, which are majorly athletes.
