Day and night Occur because of the Earth’s rotation.
The earth is tilted at an angle of 26 degrees and Rotates on its axis. This means that half of the earth faces the sun for 12 hours and the other half faces the moon for that same 12 hours. As the earth rotates the side that was facing the sun now faces the moon and the other side faces the sun

Gravity Is a force of attraction that exists between to objects
This gravitational force of attraction occurs because each object has mass (the more mass the object has the greater the gravitational force of attraction). The earth exerts a force of attraction on the moon (since it is near to it) and the moon also exerts a gravitational force of attraction But the moon’s gravitational force is not sufficient to cause the Earth to move towards it There are materials that can move on the Earth are what are attracted to the moon. Can you guess what one of those materials is?

Tides Because water is a fluid it is attracted by the gravitational force of attraction of the moon. The position of the moon causes high tide and low tides

To observe other celestial bodies and do research
Specific equipment is used such as Binoculars Telescopes Radio telescopes Space probes Satellites (scientists such as Galileo did not have the technology we use today but were able to make predictions based on their observations using experiments, reasoning and mathematical calculations.)

Energy Is the ability to do work (definition)
It can neither be created nor destroyed but can be converted from on form to another (this is the Law of Conservation of Energy) It cannot necessarily be seen with the eye but the effects of energy can definitely be observed. Mechanical Energy is classified into two major groups: - Potential energy is energy that is stored or due to its position (or state). An object that is on the second floor of the building actually does have more potential energy than one on the ground floor (this is called Gravitational Potential Energy). - Kinetic energy is energy an object has when it is moving Potential Energy and/or Kinetic Energy can be observed in the form of: Chemical (stored energy such as that in a battery cell or in a piece of coal) Electrical energy 3. Magnetic energy 4. Gravitational 5. Elastic Non- mechanical energy is in the form of 1. Heat energy 2. Light energy 3.Sound energy
