First Hour

3 Writing Prompt – Extended Definition
Write an explanation of an idea or event within the realm of society. Discuss the nuances of the idea Examples: “What’s up?” Honor Dignity Cowardice Loyalty

5 Program Spotlight, Work on Project
Second Hour

6 Program Spotlight: Garage Band

7 MM Project: Spoken Word Poetry
Take a poem you have written (color poem or something else) Record you reading it into Garage Band Add special sound effects and music to MAKE MEANING, not noise.

8 Workshop Third hour

9 Polishing your pieces Choose one piece to revise and rewrite.
I will be going around to give you feedback on the piece.

10 Gallery Walk Author: Choose one of your pieces to show to the class. Have it running on your computer Audience: Take a blue paper and fill it out for the author, leaving it on the computer desk, face down.
