2 What Are Run-On Sentences?
When you write two or more sentences as a single sentence, you have a run-on sentence.

3 Types of Run-On Sentences
Type 1: Fused Sentences Two or more sentences fused together as if they were expressing a single thought.

4 Types of Run-On Sentences
Type 2: Comma Splice Two or more sentences connected with a comma without a conjunction (ex. And, but, therefore, so, etc.)

5 How to Correct Run-On Sentences
Fused Sentences Add a period between the separate thoughts. Example of a fused sentence: I love hockey my game starts in two minutes. How to correct the sentence: I love hockey. My game starts in two minutes.

Comma Splices Add a conjunction after the comma. For example:
