Africans rebelled but their force was no match to European power

They elected African leaders
They used violence when they protested

Britain could no longer fund as many colonies
Most Europeans gave up their colonies
Africans fought for the freedom they have today

Colonialism lead to nationalism because when Africans were colonized they wanted to have pride in their country wanted to to be thiers not Europeans and that lead to nationalism

Nationalism lead to indepence because that lead to stronger rebelling and more protests and Europeans stop funding most colonies and ww2 really hit Europeans hard with colonies and that gave Africans independance
