Fig 1 The ISO (Infraclavicular–SubOmohyoid) block technique. (A) The ultrasound probe is placed in the infraclavicular region to identify the brachial plexus cords (BPC). The needle is inserted 2–3cm superior to the clavicle and advanced towards the BPC, and local anaesthetic (LA) is injected. (B) The probe is replaced between the needle and the clavicle and adjusted to identify the inferior belly of omohyoid (IO) longitudinally. The needle (blue line) is redirected towards the deep surface of IO, where LA is injected.
