Adjectives are words that describe nouns. For example, in the sentence Anita es alta (Anita is tall) alta is an adjective because it describes Anita

Other examples are: Daniel es delgado/ Daniel is thin Alma es bonita/ Alma is pretty Yo soy inteligente/ I am intelligent.

In Spanish, an adjective that describes a masculine noun must also be masculine; one that describes a feminine noun must be feminine. In order o make adjectives masculine or feminine, you may have to change the ending

There are adjectives that have only one ending for both masculine and feminine nouns. These adjectives end in –e or in a consonant Examples: elegante/ elegant inteligente/intelligent fuerte/strong interesante/interesting popular/popular exigente/demanding

When you use more than one adjective, the last one is connected by y(and) Él es grande, alto y fuerte The word y becomes e whenever it is followed by a word beginning with i or hi Carlos es guapo e inteligente.
