6 Why We Care About Physician Burnout
A position paper published in April by the National Taskforce for Humanity in Healthcare underscores the professional and personal impact: Physicians are twice as likely to experience burnout compared to other workers More than 50 percent of U.S. physicians report symptoms of burnout Physician burnout leads to–in extreme circumstances–fatal medical errors, clinician suicide, substance abuse and impaired work/life balance Burnout-related physician turnover costs U.S. healthcare up to $17 billion/year

7 Why We Care About Physician Burnout
If we want to be a Great Place to Work where our physicians provide an Exceptional Patient Experience, we must address the issues that are causing burnout among our medical staff.
