Safe Food Handling and You

Whenever you: Cough or sneeze Blow your nose After going to the bathroom Play with pets After chores or taking out garbage After playing with friends After touching toys or sport equipment And most important, before ALL meals and snacks! Safe hand-washing technique Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold) and add soap. Rub your hands together to make a lather and scrub really well! (Be sure to scrub the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails). Continue rubbing your hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? Delish Fruit Quesadillas
Instructions: Wash hands Rinse fruit (if necessary) Spread almond butter on your quesadilla half Add fruit (bananas & apples) Fold quesadilla in half Eat! Ingredients: Whole wheat quesadillas cut in half Apples and bananas cut into slices Almond butter Recipes developed by Haley Lydstone and Carly Lauraine Ants on a Log Instructions: Wash hands Rinse celery and slice into pieces Add almond butter Sprinkle with raisins or dark chocolate chips Eat! Ingredients: Celery chunks Almond butter Dark chocolate chips & raisins
