2 Speak Out There are two new ways in which you can speak out about bullying. In the student reception, you will find a ‘Speak Out’ box. You can post your comments in here. Remember, we can only tackle bullying and support those being bullied if we hear about it and have enough information. Posting anonymously can’t work. You can also your concerns to our new address

These four words represent where we see ourselves and are now linked to the A1’s you can achieve during lessons

4 Aerosols and bodysprays
A reminder that aerosols and bodysprays are banned in school. Water based sprays are fine. They cause issues for people with breathing conditions and as a result are potentially very dangerous As a reminder: Food should only be consumed in the dining room or outside Banned Items (There are a few but here are the main offenders) Chewing gum Fizzy or energy drinks Glass Bottles

5 Summer Madness REHEARSALS HAVE STARTED FOR OUR FINAL PERFORMANCE OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR. CHOIR IS ON MONDAY, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY/ ALL ARE WELCOME TO COME AND JOIN, THE PERFORMANCE WILL INCLUDE ALL ELEMENTS OF PERFORMING ARTS. YOU DON’T NEED TO HAVE BEEN PART OF WHAT WE HAVE DONE THIS YEAR, JUST COME ALONG AND JOIN, HAVE SOME FUN, MEET NEW PEOPLE AND PERFORM TO THE WIDER COMMUNITY. SEE YOU THERE MISS WATKISS

7 We have changed Intervention…
What you said… What we have done… We want to choose what to revise… We have given you detailed options (see the timetable). We are worried about missing stuff – as there are so many options and we can’t go to all! We have given you a specific area on the website to access revision resources that you might miss.

8 It is now EXAM PREPARATION…
This means that there is an 8 week plan and you get to choose where you go. Each subject has included on the timetable what they are doing and when. The timetable is here.

9 So, what do you now…? Have a look at the timetable (on the website/copies with your tutors). Prioritise what YOU need to go to and sort out YOUR plan. Check the ‘Department Revision Materials’ on our secure website for any missed materials.

11 Year 10 & 11 GCSE English ‘Drop In’
Drop in sessions every Monday, Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes in room 30 (Mr Mackay's room). A chance to complete homework, ask questions about the GCSE texts, go through elements of English you are unsure of...anything to do with GCSE English. It's drop in, so please just come along and stay for as long as you need to...there's no minimum or maximum.

12 Geography Intervention CLUB
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND… Geography Intervention CLUB If you are predicted 5 or above in GCSE Geography you are invited to attend revision sessions in room 14 every Wednesday lunch time ( pm). See Mr Dixon for a early lunch pass.

21 GCSE English and Maths Revision Sessions
Thank you for your exemplary attendance and behaviour at the Easter Revision sessions. All staff said that you were superb! There is now a final push - GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics. Letters for these sessions are out! Please check with your tutors. Deadline is 17th May 2019!

22 English and Maths Revision Sessions
You will have been given a letter for these subjects which MUST be returned by FRIDAY 17TH May. (Check with your tutor.) This time is it more simple! The only major decision to make is for Maths on Can you do both? Or Morning OR Afternoon? 26 Reminder Interventions
Remember to value your own progress and make it a priority. You have been chosen by subjects because they think you would benefit from additional support. Statistics show that any extra effort you put in will pay off. So – attend them! Don’t forget you also can go to the drop-in sessions: English (Tuesdays- Room 27), Science (Wednesdays – Room S5) Maths (Thursdays – Room IT5)
