In English it’s called International System of Units There are 7 SI base units and each one describes a different dimension: The ones we will meet most are Kilogram (kg), metre (m) , second (s), Kelvin (K), Amperes (Amps / A)

Derived SI units Derived SI units are units which are made up of the base units An example is the Newton Using F=ma (derived from Newton’s 2nd law) 1N = 1kgms-2
