1 Final Exam Instructions
There are two options for the final exam Option one: Perform a scene with a partner from the play- minimum of two pages- memorized and performed. Perform a monologue from the play- a minimum of 30 lines- memorized and performed Option two: Create art piece, in the form of a backdrop for a specific scene in the play. You will have actors who are performing the scene. You cannot create a backdrop without a scene partner. The backdrop must be large enough for people to perform in front of. What you paint should be your interpretation of the scene and help to tell the story of the scene. Read the scene the again and use it in your art.

2 Final Paper Requirements for Actors- 1-2 pages, typed, MLA formatting
Part one- one paragraph to one page- summarize the play as a whole and how your character functions in the play. How does your character keep the plot going, etc…- identify dominant themes in the play and how your character helps develop these themes. What is your character’s motivation in the play as a whole? Part two- one paragraph to one page- summarize the specific scene your performance is coming from. What is the conflict in the scene and with whom is the conflict? What is your character’s motivation in the scene? What dominant character traits and flaws do we see your character display in this scene?

3 Final Paper Requirements for Backdrop Artists- 1-2 pages, typed, MLA formatting
Part one- one paragraph to one page- summarize the play as a whole. Identify dominant themes in the play which characters help develop these themes. What are the character’s motivated by in the play as a whole? Part two- one paragraph to one page- summarize the specific scene your backdrop is created for. What is the conflict in the scene and between whom is the conflict? What are the characters’ motivations in the scene? What dominant character traits and flaws do we see the characters in this scene? Explain the color scheme, images, etc… you drew and how they connect to the scene and help to create the mood and tell the story
