New charts and updates ENC Users of SE ENC still increases (+15%) The ENC’s are the single largest source of income among all our products. Charts 51 New Editions were published 2018! Chart Improvement Project - New vertical reference level BSCD New shoreline from Swedish Land survey agency - Adjusted positions of navigational aids - Include 15m and 30 m depth contour - Goal to be finalized 2021 New timeline for the project is calculated due to lack of experienced staff – large volume of retirements etc.

Oceanographic activities Swedish Tide gauge network Both the SMA and the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute have their own networks of dynamic sensors for water levels, waves, wind etc Intensified co-operation between SMA and SMHI on water level information. The goal is to harmonize and modernize the technology of the networks as well as the management and dissemination of data. From 3 of June 2019 all water level information from SMA and SMHI will be presented in the Baltic Sea Chart Datum 2000 Speaking of water level and reference systems We have a challenge to solve …

Other activities Category B Hydrographic Surveyors Program established in Sweden The SMA has been involved in the establishment of a Category B Hydrographic Surveyors Program in Sweden The first Cat B course started in Gothenburg 6 November 2018 The first students were examined 22 March Among the students three came from the SMA and one from the Dannish Geodata Agency - All students have been employed Preparations is ongoing for the establishment of a Hydrographic Surveyors Cat A program The program welcomes participants from all IHO member states.
