Hyperbole- an exaggeration for effect
example- I am so hungry I could eat a
horse.

4. Dahl feels the invention of television has too many consequences for children. He feels we would be better off without it.
“NEVER, NEVER let them near your television set”.
“don’t install the idiotic thing at all.”
He believes it “Kills the imagination dead.”
Tots should be reading books and using their imagination. “Such wondrous, fine, fantastic tales..”
TV is used as babysitter to entertain while parents.
