Supporting : involves a conscious and direct declaration of support with another person or his concept. 8 Defending / Attacking: attacks another person or defensively strengthens an individual’s own position. Blocking / Difficulty stating: block in the path of a proposal or concept without offering any alternative proposal. 9 Shutting Out: excludes, or attempts to exclude, another group members.
Summarizing: restates in a compact form, the content of previous discussions or considerations. Seeking Information: offers facts, opinions or clarification from another individual(s). 10 Seeking information usually leads to the giving information.

11 Behavior Consequences
Proposing is generally perceived as being a constructive behaviour and usually has the effect of stimulating reaction. Building is generally associated with team spirit and feeling of group satisfaction. Supporting has an encouraging effect. It is likely to increase participation Communication Skills 23 May 2019

12 A disagreement followed by an explanation will probably mean that the listener switches off after a disagreement and does not hear the explanation.
