Synovitis on DCE-MRI. A–C: creation of the “Gd-enhancement-sequence” (C) by subtracting the first repetition of the DCE-MRI sequence (A) from the last repetition (B). ROIs are drawn around the enhancing synovium on the Gd-enhancement-sequence and automatically transposed to the motion corrected DCE-MRI sequence. The dark areas represent effusion and were included in the ROIs as this does not influence any of the DCE-MRI parameters/variable (effusion is non-enhancing and thus registered as none-enhancing voxels in Dynamika and no DCE-MRI parameters are calculated for such voxels).
