2. Learning Objectives
At the end of this presentation the participant is expected to learn that: 1. The first step toward Christian self-leadership starts with being led by the Spirit of God 2. To be led by God is to walk in faith with Him 3. There is no faith without hearing by the word of God

4. Christian Self-leadership
You must first… lead yourself to follow Christ Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus told his disciples, If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

5. Christian Self-leadership
“The self-leader moves towards obtaining his life's goals.” (Bryant & Kazan, 2013, p. 19) Self-leadership is about fruitful living, i.e., producing results.

6. Christian Self-leadership
John 15:4, 5 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

“When you practice self-leadership on a daily basis, you take a leap of faith and believe that you can learn more things with whatever challenges you face.” (Bryant & Kazan, 2013, p.23)

8. Self-leaders are Researchers “Self-leaders have initiative and take control of their own behavior, which leads them to search for answers to unknown or difficult problems.” (Bryant & Kazan, 2013, p.24)

“The world is a school for self-learners, and they are engaged students.” (Bryant & Kazan, 2013, p. 23)

Acts 17:24, 26, 27 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth… hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us…

12. Christianity 101: Hearing from God Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
