Language Arts
Spelling sorts will continue, and there will be a spelling quiz on Wednesday. Their lists and word cards are in their green word study folders. We will also begin analyzing primary source objects and documents from Alabama’s Archives department as inspiration for our class book entries.
Mathematics
This week in GOMATH, we will focus on the following:
1. Lesson 7.9 multiply mixed numbers
2. Lesson 7.10 solve problems using the strategy guess, check, and revise.
3. Lesson 8.1- Divide a whole number by a fraction and divide a fraction by a whole number.
Science
5.15 Identify the distribution of freshwater and salt water on Earth.
Reading
We will continue our class novel study of Chains, by Laurie Halse Anderson. Students are responding to the reading in different ways: journal reflections, discussion boards on Schoology, and videos on Flipgrid.
Social Studies
We are learning about the battles of the American Revolution and the spies involved.
