Reminder: what is Habides?
A standardised derogation reporting format for all Member States (XML Schema) A portable tool for decentralised reporting for regional derogation officers on the field developed in MS Access An online based system for officially submitting data (Reportnet CDR) for nationally designated data coordinators web-forms to create and edit derogations uploading data received from regional derogation officers

Alternative data flow Data is managed on a national level (no use of the Portable Tool) and exported to the Habides XML Format and uploaded on Reportnet CDR

Possible improvements
Improvements based on user feedback from Member States improvements on user interfaces completing items on lists for “Permitted Methods”, “Permitted Activities” and “Reasons for Granting Licence” feedback expected by end January 2010 A platform-independent implementation of the Portable Tool (Java). MS Access problems: incompatibility between different versions; user settings can affect behaviour
