2 Foundations of Pediatric Hematopoietic Progenitor Cell Transplantation
This course provides an overview of issues involved in caring for children and adolescents undergoing hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation. A comprehensive review is presented, from the historical perspective and current considerations, through long-term follow-up and survivorship issues. Some of the topics covered include: HLA typing, engraftment, infections, ambulatory management, acute and chronic Graft Versus Host Disease, late effectives and caring for the caregiver. This is a three day course with 20 hours of content.
