Relationship between ribavirin dose expressed in mg/kg and W20 VR (A) and SVR (B) at 2 doses of peginterferon. Patients were grouped according to the cumulative dose of peginterferon received, either >80% of the total maximum cumulative peginterferon dose or ≤80% of this dose. The dose of ribavirin was calculated by averaging the mean ribavirin dose (mg) taken by each patient every day during their treatment, dividing the average by the patient’s baseline body weight (kg), and rounding to the nearest 0.5 mg/kg. Missed doses were counted as 0 mg of ribavirin. The W20 VR and SVR rates for all patients taking this particular dose of ribavirin were then calculated.
