The Pavilion Buzz Spring 2018 Term 4
Message from the team…….Welcome Back! Lovely to see all the children back and settled. And welcome to our new children this term too. Emma would like to thank any parents who received a dissertation questionnaire and returned them. It is that time where she is studying hard to complete a study which looks into the perceptions of adults on outdoor play and how this impacts on preschool children’s development. We have a jam packed term ahead of us with lots of events, make sure you take a look at the dates for your diary across the page. For World Book Day your child can come dressed as their favourite book character and remember to bring their favourite book too! Comic Relief is coming up too, Mrs Turland is collecting donations as she spends some time in a tub of beans. Imagine the children’s faces as they pour them over her head! Please remember to bring along your cans of beans and nearer the time your donations. We are holding a Mothers Day event over three days this year. All Mummy’s are invited to join us for a cake and coffee (or tea) morning / afternoon and spend time with their children at the setting. Competition time!! Children are invited to design their own Easter bonnet and take part in the Easter Bonnet Parade. It will take place on Thursday 4th from 2.30pm onwards. All parents and/or grandparents are welcome. We will select 3 winners. So come on mums and dads help your child get creative!! Dates for your diaries: Tues / Weds 5th & 6th – Parents evenings Thurs7th Mar – World Book Day Fri 15th Mar – Baked bean challenge (pm) Weds 20th (pm), Thurs 21st (am) & Fri 22nd (am)-Mothers day events. Thurs 4th April – Easter bonnet parade at 2.30pm Fri 5th Apr - Break up for 4pm Weds 24th Apr – re-open Weds 1st May – Little Monkeys Photographers are in! What we are learning and celebrating this term….. Holi - Hindu Festival of Colour St David’s Day World Book Day Comic relief Mothers Day St Patrick’s Day Spring and growth New recruits: This term we welcome back Taya who has been with us on Monday and Fridays for some time now. She is due to finish her time with us on Friday 8th March. She has been a wonderful support and will be missed. We wish her all the best for the future. We also welcome back Mrs Yuliya Smith who will be supporting us on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon until the end of this academic year. Mr Mills has joined us this term too, he will be on placement with us for 11 weeks as he studies for his early years teacher status . He will be here Monday – Thursday. Reminders Children who have turned 3 between Jan and Mar - look our for a Parental Contract and information on 30 Hours Funding in your child’s drawer soon. Place you child’s lunchbox in the entrance foyer please. Keep lunches healthy – no sweets or chocolate please. Contact us on or telephone
