2. Transparent Matter that transmits light is transparent.
Sometimes the light can be refracted, or bent, when it changes medium, but all of the light is transmitted through.

3. Translucent
Material that is translucent allows some of the light to pass through, but it is scattered.
In translucent material, only the shape or outline of the object can be seen. Objects look distorted or blurry.

4. Opaque Opaque material does not let any light through.
Light is either absorbed or reflected with opaque materials.
