RIPPLE Business Challenge
Develop and undertake an INNS survey within the Old Durham Beck catchment which can offer increased accuracy and reliability compared to voluntary INNS survey walkovers. Survey will need to: Be undertaken during summer 2019 Identify Himalayan Balsam, Giant Hogweed and Japanese Knotweed Calculate area and density of invasive weed stands Produce GIS shapefiles Create baseline dataset for monitoring success of treatments Cost around £2,000*
