4 What is a relationship? We all have many different types of relationships with many different people. Can you name some relationships that you have? We all have many different types of relationships with many different people. A Partner, boyfriend or girlfriend is not the only type of relationship. Who do you know at home? Who do you know at school? Who helps you?

5 What is a relationship? Knowing someone means having a relationship.
All of us have relationships. All relationships are different.

6 Relationship steps We have different types of relationships with lots of different people/ Can you give a feel examples for each relationship??

7 You The most important person that you have a relationship with is yourself. You always know what you are thinking or feeling or like to do. (Discuss student’s qualities and the things that they like to do)

8 Love The people in this step are the people who you love, trust and respect. They are usually very important people in your life. The person in this step is someone you might love, trust and feel sexy with.

9 Intimate relationship
According to the law in Hong Kong, the legal age of having sex with person of opposite sex is 16. Intimate relationship The person in this step is someone you might love, trust and feel sexy with.

10 Like Other people we like and enjoy being time with, such as a friend.
The people in this step are friends. You might have things in common, feel safe and have fun doing things together.

11 Teacher/carer Some people work with us like a teacher or carer.
If it is someone’s job to work with you that person goes into this step. These people are important. They can help us in many ways.

12 Know There are people we only know enough to just wave or say hello to, like a shopkeeper. If you don’t like someone they go here as well. You have to know someone to hate the. Sometimes you know someone because of their uniform, like the police. It is ok to talk to them because it is their job to help.

13 Don’t know There are also people that we don’t know. Sometimes we call them strangers. They include people who you like from TV. The people from the TV do not know you even if you do like them they go in the ‘don’t know’ step because relationships have to go both ways.

14 Group activity - Touch in relationships
Identify appropriate touch for each type of relationship. There are different touches for different relationships. It is important that you feel safe and you make other people feel safe. Always ask before touching.

16 Conclusion Everyone has a relationship. Relationships are important.
All relationships are different. There are different touches for different relationship. It is important that you feel safe and you make other feel safe.
