The Online Training Platform Portal
To register Go to the Online training platform portal. Click on the ‘Register’, button on the left-hand side, underneath, ‘New to this site?’. Proceed to slide 4. To return to the Online Training Platform Enter the address and password associated with your account, underneath, ‘Already Registered?’. Forgotten your password? Click on the, ‘Forgotten your password?’, link underneath the ‘LOGIN’, button. Enter the address associated with your account and click, ‘Submit’. You will receive a password reset to the address associated with your account, click on the link within the to proceed with your password reset.

Registering your Account
Authentication Key OnL!netRa!n!ng Your Account Details Enter your personal details - these details can be edited in the future. Course Information Select your role - this cannot be edited in the future. Your CAB Program Manager or MSC staff member will advise you on which role to select. Select your country – this can be edited in the future. Select your preferred language – this can be edited in the future. Select your Program Manager. If you cannot find your CAB Program Manager please contact Select your Principle – this option will only display for roles with expert levels. Click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Registering your Account
Your role dictates your required modules Upon clicking, ‘Submit’, you will be presented with this screen. Underneath your name will be your role, each role has required modules associated to it. Users also have the opportunity to take relevant optional modules if they wish. The optional modules are listed underneath your required modules. If you have been advised by your CAB Program Manager or wish to take these modules, click on the square box to the left of the modules. Click the, ‘Submit’, button. If you are unsure of which modules you are required to take please proceed to the next slide or contact your CAB Program Manager.

Your Online Training Platform menu page Here you can: Manage your modules Edit your details Edit your courses Module Management In the module table you can see: When you started and completed modules. Your highest score for assessed modules. How many attempts you have had for each module - you have 3 assessment attempts per module. To begin a module click on the ‘Launch’, button to the right of the module. Your module will launch in a pop out screen. The 'Completed’, column of your module table will auto-populate upon completion of all slides within each module. The highest score achieved for assessed modules will auto-populate upon completion of the assessment, along with the number of attempts.

Click on the bottom left button, ‘Edit Details’, on your Online Training Platform menu page. Edit your Details Here you can edit: Your name address Your password Country Preferred language Program Manager

Click on the second button on the bottom left, ‘Edit Courses’, on your Online Training Platform menu page. Edit your Courses Here you can edit: Remove optional modules Add optional modules Removing Optional Modules Click on the ticks on the left hand side of the modules. This will remove the ticks leaving empty grey squares. Click, ‘Submit’. Adding Optional Modules Click on the grey box on the left-hand side of the optional module you wish to add. This will add a small black tick inside the grey box.

Assessments Taking your Module Assessment
The Assessment Instruction before each module assessment will inform you of approximately how long the assessment will be, the required pass mark and any supporting documents you may use to complete the module assessment. Things to note: Assessments cannot be bookmarked and must be taken in one sitting. You have up to 3 attempts to pass your assessment. Your highest score will be recorded as your final score. If your internet connection drops out before a final score is achieved in your assessment you will need to begin the assessment again, this will not be recorded as an attempt.

Certificates Print Certificate
Upon successful completion of all required and assessed modules you will be presented with the opportunity to print your certificate. To do so click on the fourth button on the bottom row of buttons, ‘Print Certificate’, on your Online Training Platform menu page. A pop out will appear in a separate window where you can choose your preferred printer settings. Why can’t I print my certificate? Have you completed all of your required modules? Have you passed all of your required modules? Are your passed modules up to date and compliant with module reset timelines? If you answer yes to all of the above please

Module Resets Resetting your Modules
As mentioned on pages 10 & 11, you are required to retake all required modules for your role after a set period of time. For CoC Auditors, this is 3 years. For Fisheries this is 5 years. Please note you and your CAB Program Manager cannot reset your modules, an MSC staff member must reset your modules for you. To request a module reset the online training team on The online training team will confirm the reset of your modules and provide a record of your previous scores for reference.

FAQ’s How do I access modules that are not in my role?
Unless you are a Program Manager you are limited to one stream of modules. We recommend you create a new account with a different address selecting the role that has the associated modules you wish to access. Why can’t I print my certificate? Have you completed all of your required modules? Have you passed all of your required modules? Are your passed modules up to date and compliant with module reset timelines? If yes – What happens if I do not pass the required modules for my role within the allocated 3 attempts? Please contact your CAB Program Manager. An action plan will be drafted detailing any additional training that will be provided to support your MSC Online Training. When do I need to retake my modules? CoC Auditors every 3 years. Fisheries every 5 years. I need to retake my modules what do I do? To request a module reset the online training team on I have forgotten my password, what do I do? Click on the, ‘Forgotten your password?’ link underneath the ‘LOGIN’ button on the Online Training Platform Portal page. Proceed with the password reset instructions. What languages are available? A selection of the modules are available in German, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish – see slide 8. I’m having technical problems with the platform, what do I do?
