2. Conflict is a struggle between opposing forces.
Conflict is what drives every story. There are usually multiple conflicts in each story with one being the
MAIN conflict.

3. Individual vs. Character
The individual has a conflict with one or more characters.

4. Individual vs. Self
The individual has a physical or an inner mental or emotional conflict.

5. Individual vs. Society
The individual as a conflict with a part of society (school, government, tradition etc).

6. Individual vs. Nature
The individual has a conflict with an element of nature (storm, wild animal, cold etc).

7. Individual vs. Supernatural
The individual has a conflict with an intangible force (fate, God, the supernatural etc).

8. Individual vs. Technology
The individual has a conflict with a type of technology (robots, computers etc).

9. Protagonist vs. Antagonist
the leading character or one of the major characters in a work of fiction.
Examples:

Antagonist:
a force that actively opposes or is hostile to the protagonist; an adversary
Examples:
•Darth Vader
