First Person Point of View
The narrator is a character in the story – in other words, he/she is located in the story.

Third Person Point of View
The narrator is outside of the story – NOT a character in the story. A. 3rd person omniscient: this is an all-knowing narrator who knows thoughts, feelings, past and present of most or all of the characters. B. 3rd person Limited: this narrator knows the thoughts, feelings, past and present of ONE character (usually the main character), but knows only what he/she observes the other characters doing and hears them saying. C. Objective (also called camera-view): this narrator knows ONLY what he/she observes the other characters doing and hears them saying.
