Turn to pages in your textbook and look for the list of colony characteristics on the side of the pages.
Label one side of a note-card with the colony name. Then list the characteristics of the colony just like they are listed in the book. Each card side should have one colony/info
Example: Massachusetts-NE colony
Founders-Pilgrims led by William Bradford and Puritans led by John Winthrop
Settlers- Puritans seeking escape from religious persecutions.
Back of card Climate- Harsh winters and warm summers
Geography- Sandy coast with good ports, rich pastures, forests
Economy/Occupations-Crop and livestock farming, lumber, shops, shipping
Religion- Puritan
Government- Self-governing with strong religious influence.
