2. What is Natural Gas
Natural gas is a Varity of flammable gas, consisting largely of methane and other hydrocarbons, occurring naturally underground (often in association with petroleum) and used as fuel. It is placed in the category of nonrenewable resources. Natural gas is an energy source often used for heating, cooking, and electricity generation such as gas stoves, and fireplaces. It is also used as fuel for vehicles and as a chemical feedstock in the manufacture of plastics and other commercially important organic chemicals.

 Natural gas is sent directly from high capacity interstate and intrastate pipelines to customers in need (usually by natural gas marketing companies),
most other users receive natural gas from their local gas utility, also called a local distribution company (LDC).

6. Emerging Technologies for Natural Gas
A company named Sea NG is developing a system to transport compressed natural gas by sea. The technology will open up new markets to transport quantities of gas that are too small to make LNG transport economically feasible. The gas will be held in purpose-built modules called coselles
