1. 3/16 & 3/17: Rwanda Review
Using the notes we took from last week’s articles (the four boxes) and the notes from a Power Point that Ms. Erickson gave you the week before, please write a summary of the Rwandan genocide. Please include the following:
Details regarding the situation or atmosphere in Rwanda before the genocide.
How the genocide was carried out and what was done by any group or organization to stop it.
As much as you currently understand about how the genocide came to an end and what ongoing issues the country has dealt with since, those explained in your articles and anything you would assume about more recent times.

2. Triumph of Evil
As you watch the Frontline documentary please do two things.
1. Think about the question that you have been given. Take any notes that will help you prepare an answer to the question that you can support with evidence after the movie.
2. Create two other discussion questions that you would like to discuss with a small group after the movie. These can be about the Rwandan genocide, genocide in general, international intervention, human rights issues, comparisons to other historical events, etc.
