2. STEP 1 Open SketchUp Go to TEMPLATES
Select “Architectural Design – Feet & Inches”
Click on “Start Using SketchUp”

3. Step 2
Highlight the person and hit delete to remove him from the project page.

4. Step 3 Click on “CAMERA” Select “Two Point Perspective” first
Click on ”Camera” again
Then Select “Parallel Projection”
You are now working on a 2D drawing

5. Step 4 Select the “rectangle” tool and draw a rectangle.
Change the size to be 30’ x 40’ by typing 30’, 40’ in the dimensions bar

6. Step 5
Add rooms.
Here you can be creative and use either the rectangle tool, circle tool, octagon tool, pencil (straight line), or squiggly line to create free form lines.

7. Step 6
Add Dimensions
Click on the Dimensions tool in the tool bar (looks like a goal post with a 3 in it)
Click on 1 endpoint
Drag to the second endpoint
Release mouse to add dimensions
*Add dimensions to the exterior walls and to each room.

8. Step 7 Add Text to your drawing Identify the rooms Use the TEXT tool
