2 About Mrs. Cojocar Graduated from Montclair State University in 1999
Teaching Experience: 2 years in a private school in Bloomfield (Child Development Center) This is my 10th year here at Manville Two boys ages 10 and 3

3 Mrs. Cojocar’s Professional Goal
To create a safe, enriching, and engaging environment for children and to provide instructions designed to develop critical thinking and creative thinking so that they can become independent thinkers and enthusiastic lifelong learners prepared for the increasing demands of the 21st century.

4 Reading Read a variety of genres
Read independently at home 5 times a week Make connections and predictions as we read to improve reading comprehension Reader’s Theater Guided Reading Reader’s Notebook

5 Writer’s Workshop Personal Narrative Persuasive Essays
Use the writing process Expository Essays Speculative essays Fiction Non-Fiction Poetry Writer’s Notebook We will break down assignments into smaller more manageable parts Spelling each full week of school (Word Wall)

6 Homework Policy 30+ minutes of reading 5 times a week
Record three things each night they read to help them remember what they read Student responsibility Parent communication and assistance

7 How can you help??? Help them organize their notebooks and backpacks when possible Make sure they are reading a novel every night of the week Contact me with any questions/concerns
