CREDENTIAL FILES Credential files are created by FSU students and contain resumes, cover letters, transcripts, letters of recommendations and other pertinent information. The files are used for internships, graduate school applications, and job searches. The Office of Career Services manages the files and mails them to prospective employers and graduate schools upon request from the student. Requests for release of information within a credential file can be made in person, by letter or e-mail, or via phone. Students pay a one-time activation fee of $20.00 to the FSU Business Office in order to activate credential file for a seven-year period. A student can make up to 20 mail requests per month within the seven-year time period. It is never to early in your academic career to open a credential file. A packet can be obtained from the Career Services office or by visiting our Web site and downloading the appropriate forms: http://www.frostburg.edu/clife/career/credential.htm
