Read with your child each night!
Keep a running list of flash cards for our Word Wall Words: I, can, the, we, see, a, like, to, and, go, you, do, my, are, with, he, she, was, for, have, of, they, said, want, here, me, this, what, help, too!
We Are Learning About…
Reading: We will focus on long a (a__e spelling pattern, ex: tape) and sight words help and too. We will ask and answer questions to help us understand stories better. We will utilize all reading strategies together to help us solve tricky words. Reading Essential Question: How can you help out at home?
Writing: We will explore adjectives (describing words) as well as writing our opinions about a story!
Math: We will begin GoMath Ch. 10: 3D Shapes!
Science: We will explore the planets in our Solar Stystem as we prepare for our field trip to the Challenger Center on Friday!
Social Studies: We will continue to focus on map skills. We will also focus on the character trait Self-Control as we prepare for first grade!
