2. Mt. St Helens Facts:
It is a stratavolcano - made up of many layers and a steep profile. It is capable of having many short periodic eruptions

3. Mt. St Helens is located in Washington State about 96 miles South of Seattle.

4. Fun Facts
The elevation of the volcano is 8,365 feet. A fine elevation.
The biggest eruption was in This is a picture of it BEFORE the eruption.

5. Then came the BIG BLAST!

6. Ash covered the entire state of Washington and parts of Oregon
Ash covered the entire state of Washington and parts of Oregon. My mom who lived in Oregon at the time was also covered with ash.

8. After the eruption there was a huge landslide that took part of the mountain away. This is what it looks like today.

9. Most of you probably think that people died from the eruption and the lava but they actually died from the ash. They couldn’t breath.
