What is a wiki? “a website that allows collaborative editing of its content and structure by its users” You can look at the web page normally, or you can go into “edit” mode People with an account can edit the webpage Can keep track of changes made

Advantages: Writing practice Editing practice Students can easily work on a project together Collaboration and sharing of ideas Easy for teacher to use and provide feedback Good, easy to use tools available to create a wiki

Disadvantages Some learning curve (for students and teachers) If there are two people editing at the same time, may create conflicts

In small groups, discuss ways students could work together to create a project on a wiki. How is this different from what they can do on a blog?
