Define critical covariate measurements that affect FDG-PET SUV quantification
Identify challenges and limitations in these covariates that affect the accuracy and/or precision of SUV measurements
Develop standards for the measurement and recording of covariates
Work with imaging vendors to implement in each PET/CT platform

List of covariates have been established in the literature and have been summarized for this committee
Preliminary list of challenges and limitations has been identified

4. Specific Tasks
Complete consensus list of challenges/limitations in covariate measurements
Discuss requested changes with each vendor representative
Interact with DICOM working group to identify current initiatives that may address limitations
Develop resource plan for accomplishing changes

Engineering efforts at each PET/CT manufacturer to incorporate changes
