Ezekiel 37:21-28 “My servant David will be king over (Israel)” Jeremiah 31:31-36 “a new covenant with the house of Israel” Daniel 9:24-27 “Jerusalem (sanctuary) …..will be built again”

18 The Big Three of Prophecy
Israel would receive: A new covenant A new kingdom A new temple

19 The Big Three of Prophecy
BUT God also said that: The new covenant would be different Jeremiah 31:32 Israel would never again have a king Jeremiah 22:30 God did not dwell in the Jerusalem temple Ezekiel 10:18 Jer 22:30 "Thus says the LORD, 'Write this man down childless, A man who will not prosper in his days; For no man of his descendants will prosper Sitting on the throne of David Or ruling again in Judah.'“ Eze 10:18 Then the glory of the LORD departed from the threshold of the temple and stood over the cherubim.

20 The Big Three of Prophecy
How could God give Israel: A covenant that is not a covenant? A kingdom not a kingdom? A temple not a temple? By establishing an Israel that is not Israel! Romans 9:6 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel

21 God’ Mind for Israel: You shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel Exodus 19:6

22 God’ Mind for Israel: A kingdom of priests "The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but because the LORD loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, Deuteronomy 7:7-8a

23 God’ Mind for Israel: A kingdom of priests
Keeping the promise to Abraham "Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father's house, to the land which I will show you; and I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great…“ Genesis 12:1-2 Ge 12:1 ¶ Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father's house, To the land which I will show you; Ge 13:9; 15:7; Ne 9:7; Isa 41:2; Ac 7:2-3; Heb 11:8 2 And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing;

24 Reviewing Our Foundation
Ephesians 3:8-12 “…the eternal purpose” If the church is God’s eternal purpose: Israel was a means to an end Physical Israel foreshadowed Spiritual Israel

25 The Kingdom of Priests But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY Peter 2:9-10

26 The Kingdom of Priests As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow Peter 2:9-10

27 The Kingdom of Priests The Big Three, etc.
As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow Peter 2:9-10 The Big Three, etc.

28 Keeping the Promise to Abraham
Galatians 3:6-22 Abraham’s promise NOT in (Physical) Israel Hebrews 11:13-16 Abraham’s land NOT (Physical) Israel Heb 11:13 All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. 14 For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. 15 And indeed if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.

29 The Purpose of Israel Is The Church…
Then the promises of the Prophets: A new covenant A new kingdom A new temple Are the church too!

30 The Promise of the New Covenant
Hebrews 10:15-26 “the Holy Spirit also testifies to us”

31 The Promise of the New Kingdom
Hebrews 12:22-29 “Therefore, since we receive a kingdom”

32 The Promise of the New Temple
Ephesians 2:19-22 “For we are the temple of the living God” 2 Corinthians 6:16

33 The Church is the Spiritual Israel
Romans 9:6-8 Galatians 4:22-29 Ephesians 2:11-16 Ro 9:6 ¶ But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel; 7 nor are they all children because they are Abraham's descendants, but: "THROUGH ISAAC YOUR DESCENDANTS WILL BE NAMED." 8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants.

34 Physical Israel Today:
Is merely the shell of an example Is no more blessed than any other nation Is MORE blessed than ever before

35

36 We are the Kingdom Christians are citizen

37

38 What the Kingdom Requires
But when they believed Philip preaching the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were being baptized, men and women alike Acts 8:12
