Raising Troops Selective Service Act- required all men age to register for the military draft. Next 18 months, 4 million men and women joined the armed forces.

Raising Money Liberty Bonds-American citizens were lending money to the government to pay for the war. Liberty Bonds raised $21 billion, just over half the cost of the war.

Pacifists- people who refuse to fight b/c they believe war is evil.
