Departure October 25-26 -Leaving at 6:30, students need to be dropped off at school, by car at 6:00, students should then check in with their homeroom teacher -Coach Buses -A small snack and water bottle is okay on the bus, but students need to have eaten breakfast before we leave. -If you student brings a water bottle, we ask that is is reusable. Students may not bring the following items
-Over the counter medications, left in their personal bags (all meds should be checked in and held by Mrs. Lambright using the form provided in the pack) -Cell phones, gaming systems (portable or otherwise), MP3 players, or computers (Students will have access to a phone in the event of an emergency or illness and a movie on the bus) -Candy or food items, that are not consumed on the bus ride TO Blue Ridge (No food in the dormitories) -Knives, Camp Hatchets, any weapon of any kind Kerrie

Must Haves PACKING CHECKLIST: - 1 sleeping bag or bedroll (sheets and 2 blankets) 1 pillow 1 pair of old pants 1 pair of shorts per day 2 tee-shirts per day 1 heavy shirt 1 sweater or sweatshirt 2 pairs of sneakers (one that can get wet). All footwear MUST have a toe box and a secure heel strap 1 change of underwear per day 2 pairs of socks per day 1 raincoat or poncho 1 hat or cap Roper

Must Haves 1 pair of pajamas 1 bag of toilet articles (soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, towel, hair brush, hair elastics (long hair) etc.) 1 bottle of sunscreen 1 water bottle (a refillable, reusable bottle— not the throw-away kind) 1 plastic bag for dirty clothes 1 pen and writing paper BUG SPRAY Flashlight Blanton

· money, please no more than $30, in a sealed envelope with your child’s name on it, if they’re able to buy a camp shirt. We are not responsible for lost items or cash. Martin

Safety Your student is very safe on this trip. All Blue ridge staff are EMT certified and extremely familiarized with the terrain. Blue Ridge Always considers the conditions of their facilities, before allowing students to participate in activities. We will be outside and a portion of our stay involves running and playing outdoors. Any injuries associated with that level of play are possible, but students safety is the number one priority. Roper

Medication Heather Lambright will be in charge of all medications, and will distribute those medications during mealtimes, unless your child has a specific time they must receive their medication, in which case an authorized school staff member will administer the medication at that time -Medication check in -Medication forms are in the packet and should be turned in well ahead of the trip.
