1. Get into a group of 4 2. Watch the following clips: 3. In your group discuss: -What is happening in each one? -Why that is happening? 4. Share with the class 5. In your group come up with a definition of the word “Disguise” 6. How do people “disguise” themselves in today’s world?

7. Discuss with your group: Why do people disguise themselves? What do people get out of it? How do women disguise themselves? How do men disguise themselves? - -Watch “The Human Face-Why Women Wear Makeup” 8. Reflection Question/Character Analysis: -Who is in a disguise in TN-literal and not literal? Provide evidence from the play to support your answer. -What does that character/those character’s get out of being in disguise? - Are they happy in their disguise? -Please make reference and a connection to the videos that we saw in class.

After watching Beyonce’s “If I were a Boy” and listening to the lyrics, with a partner discuss and record: 1. What the song was presenting through the video and provide evidence of it from the video. 2. What is Beyonce saying through her lyrics? Share with the class Find two passages in the play that show that women in the have more liberties when they are not being themselves and when they are disguised Find two passages in the play that show the liberties that men in the play have that women don’t have.

REFLECTION: Write a reflection in which you look at the passages that you and your partner found and share what you think is being said about the role and inequalities that each gender faces, if these inequalities still exist, and how are inequalities presented today. USE SUPPORTING DETAILS FROM THE SONG, VIDEO, AND PLAY TO SUPPORT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING.
