Activities developed by the eLIM EdTech team and SASP to teach Online Safety through game-based active fitness bursts Remember to include ‘Game breaks’

2 Foundation Stage: I tell you the things that are the same about my friend and me Year 1: I tell you similarities and differences between people I know Year 2: I identify similarities and differences between people I know and people I see in the media/online Year 3: I identify images which have been digitally altered Year 4: I explain how digitally altered images in the media make me feel Year 5: I know the reasons why images are altered Year 6: I explain how images in the media affect how we feel about ourselves

4 INSTRUCTIONS Select a few appropriate ‘Game breaks’ to include other online safety messages during the game. Practise actions for each of them with the class. Teacher/pupil hold iPad on forehead or display on screen with two people not able to see (Could also be done with cards or written on a whiteboard) Everyone else acts out what is on the screen so that their team guesses what is on the screen first. Remind children that we all have similarities and differences just like the actions we are doing to help our teammates guess Include ‘Game breaks’. When a game break is called everyone stops to do an appropriate action
