Gatsby Chapter 3 This week, you need to be reading chapter 3 and working on completing the tasks that follow. While I will not be taking up the usual Cornell notes at the end of this chapter for a grade, you still need to take your own notes on plot development, symbols, themes, etc. However, I want us to focus on the characters throughout this chapter.

Gatsby Chapter 3 tasks Compose a good set of Level Questions for this chapter. Complete a character profile for Gatsby - Who is Gatsby, really? Identify/summarize (a list of detailed bullet-points will suffice) what seems to be his personality and traits based on direct and indirect characterization in this chapter from rumors, his behavior, and his lifestyle. Don’t forget Catherine’s rumor in chapter 2. Include 2-3 pieces of strong evidence that support your conclusions about who Gatsby really is. 3. Complete a character profile for Jordan - What is Jordan’s real personality? Identify/summarize (a list of detailed bullet-points will suffice) what seems to be her real personality and traits based on direct and indirect characterization from chapters 1 through 3, including how she’s changed throughout these chapters. Include 1-2 pieces of strong evidence from that support your conclusions about Jordan’s real personality.
