Welcome to the Lower Senior Information Evening

Role of the Tutor Tutors are key players in the bid to build an environment of trust, well-being, confidence and care so that students can seek out and take advantage of a wide range of creative, challenging and adventurous opportunities. A Tutor’s role is central in both caring for students and, crucially, monitoring their progress both academically and socially; they encourage involvement, commitment, and high standards of work and behaviour.

Stage monitoring slips – Friday detention 4.30pm-5.30pm: to parents from tutor Stage monitoring slips – Friday detention: to parents from tutor Stage monitoring slips – Saturday detention 12.30pm-3.30pm: Invite parents in for discussion with tutor Stage 4 – 4 monitoring slips – Saturday detention: to parents from tutor Stage 5 – 4 monitoring slips – Gated for one week, including Saturday afternoon, letter home, invited in to see Head of Seniors
11
If a students receives 7 or more monitoring slips in a week then this would be a greater cause for concern and an automatic Saturday detention would be given Very few students reach the later stages of this system. If however a student were to reach the end of the monitoring system, then a meeting between the Head of Seniors, Deputy Head and Head would take place to decide the next course of action.
